An Update on Our Hurricane Sandy Recovery

We would like to thank everyone who has reached out with kind messages of support in the wake of Hurricane Sandy. Our staff now has remote email access, but our office at 125 Maiden Lane was damaged in the storm, as this New York Times article reflects.

Despite the closure at 125 Maiden Lane, IPPF/WHR staff are working remotely from home, and are in contact with local affiliates in the Caribbean to ensure that our local partners are safe and operational following Hurricane Sandy. We will continue to provide further updates as we learn more about the condition of our building and the status of our partners in Latin America and the Caribbean who were impacted as well.

We appreciate your enduring support as we work steadily to overcome this challenge.

** Update: November 8, 2012 **

Due to the storm, our office in Lower Manhattan sustained serious damage, temporarily displacing our Regional Office staff and operations. While we cope with the aftermath of the hurricane, our dedicated staff is working remotely to ensure we can continue to provide quality sexual and reproductive health care to the millions we serve—especially those affected by Hurricane Sandy in the Caribbean.

Please read our Urgent Request for Support to learn how you can help ensure every individual has access to the information and services they need, want, and deserve. Or simply click here to make a donation.

We are working to establish ourselves in a temporary office and hope to have our systems back up and running very soon. In the meantime, please do not hesitate to contact our Development Team at with any questions. Thank you for your patience and continued support!
