Associate Director, MA Finance & Grants Management
Mauro came to IPPF/WHR with extensive experience in financial management and grants administration, joining as MA Financial Analyst in 2010, and later promoted to MA Senior Finance Officer. In this role he supports the development and implementation of IPPF/WHR’s policies and procedures related to MA budgeting and finance, accounting, and automated financial systems; provides technical assistance in financial management, analysis, and sustainability; he also provides extensive support on budgeting and reporting for restricted projects at the Regional Office level. Prior to joining IPPF/WHR, Mauro had worked in Action Against Hunger as Field Finance Manager, role in which he was accountable for financial management of three country-offices, Kenya, Uganda, and South Sudan. Previously, he had worked for several years in the banking sector, initially in Bolivia as Analyst of Organization and Methods, where he was responsible for business processes reengineering (BPR) and nationwide training; and later in New York, as Operations and Accounting Manager at Corfinge Inc, a subsidiary of Banco Cuscatlán, Central America. He holds degrees in Business Management, Industrial Engineering, and a Master in Public Administration. He was born in Bolivia.
