Marissa Billowitz

Senior Program Officer - Youth

Marissa serves as the Senior Program Officer overseeing youth initiatives at IPPF/WHR. She has extensive experience working in sexual and reproductive health, particularly with regard to gender, sexuality, training, capacity building, and program management.

Prior to joining IPPF/WHR in 2009, Marissa served as the Director of Emergency Contraception Education and Outreach at Planned Parenthood of New York City. She also coordinated initiatives addressing HIV/AIDS in Latin America and Latino men’s health in the United States at Columbia University’s Heilbrunn Center, and served as a Program Officer for Latin America and the Caribbean at the Margaret Sanger Center International.

Marissa holds a Master of Latin American and Caribbean Studies from New York University.
