Maria Bordallo

Resource Mobilization and Strategy Advisor

Maria is responsible for supporting the Resource Mobilization efforts of IPPF/WHR's Member Associations (MAs) and international advocacy efforts. She does this by providing technical assistance, tracking and analyzing shifts in international aid architecture, and sharing funding opportunities from international sources. She also supports MAs in developing and maintaining donor relations and advocacy at country level.

Maria has worked broadly with European donors and recipient country governments. She has worked as a consultant for the German Foundation for World Population, International Civil Society Support, CARE, Asia Pacific Alliance, and Family Care International.

Maria has a Master’s degree in Psychology and a post-graduate Master's degree in International Relations.

What's the most amazing thing you've seen while traveling?
The strength of the women of Ngong, Kenya, who where HIV-positive and continued to have an approach to life that was exceptional.
