As the Development Associate, Kathleen's responsibilities include supporting the programs in Major Gifts, Planned Giving, and Direct Response. She also works on donor cultivation and stewardship efforts and provides logistical support for events.
Kathleen has over fourteen years of experience in the nonprofit sector. Prior to transitioning into fundraising, she was a community organizer for a Boston-based, Latino organization dedicated to increasing the social and economic power of individuals and families through education, financial literacy, technology, and arts programming. She also facilitated outreach programs for community-based organizations and health professionals about gender-based violence.
Kathleen is an alumni of LISC AmeriCorps and was awarded City Year’s Moccasin Award for her achievements in outstanding community service. She is presently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management at St. Josephs College in Brooklyn, New York.

What's the most amazing thing you've seen while traveling?
When visiting Puerto Rico for the first time, I climbed up to one of the highest mountain peaks to see an amazing panoramic view of the countryside where my parents grew up.
