Program Officer for Youth and Gender-based Violence
Florencia is responsible for the development and implementation of the regional strategy to eliminate gender-based violence. She provides technical assistance and works in partnership with Member Associations to formulate and implement comprehensive projects at multiple cross cutting points between sexual and reproductive rights and gender-based violence. Additionally, she collaborates with youth program initiatives.
Florencia’s experience includes coordinating programs to eliminate sexual violence at the OAS, assessing compliance of human rights standards at UNICEF, designing local development plans for the Ministry of Development in Uruguay, as well as other initiatives at a regional level.
Florencia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of the Republic, Montevideo, she also holds an International Affairs Master’s degree from the New School, New York City.
