IPPF/Western Hemisphere Region saves lives by reaching the most vulnerable people throughout the Americas and the Caribbean with millions of sexual and reproductive health services each year. We also work tirelessly to secure and protect government policies and funding to continue to improve the lives of millions more.
We support the right of women, men, and young people to make decisions about their own bodies and futures. We promote the prevention of unintended pregnancy through contraception, comprehensive sexuality education, and the elimination of gender-based violence.
We do this by providing technical assistance and support to our partners in the areas of program planning, sustainability, monitoring and evaluation, governance, and fundraising. Together, we build strong institutions and healthy individuals.
IPPF/Western Hemisphere Region is a strong network of individuals and institutions that work together to secure sexual and reproductive health care as a human right for all. The following six priority areas guide our work:
Our work is grounded in the belief that health care is a basic human right. We are devoted to ensuring access to quality health services for all, particularly in impoverished and marginalized communities.
