Evaluación de la implementación de la Declaración Ministerial "Prevenir con Educación". Su cumplimiento en América Latina 2008–2015
This publication details the progress of Latin American and Caribbean governments in implementing the commitments agreed upon in the Ministerial Declaration "Preventing Through Education." That historic agreement was signed by Ministries of Health and Education in Latin America and the Caribbean with the goal of improving sexual and reproductive health and rights, including access to comprehensive sexuality education for youth and adolescents in the region. In 2015, the final year of the agreement, clear achievements and gaps can be seen in the Declaration's implementation.
This evaluation (presently available in Spanish only) is the result of social monitoring carried out by IPPF/WHR, DEMYSEX, and a broad group of civil society organizations in 19 countries in the region. It is the final installment of a series of evaluations whose existence has played a fundamental role in holding governments accountable to the commitments they made in the Ministerial Declaration.
