Human Resources Internship
International Planned Parenthood Federation/Western Hemisphere Region (IPPF/WHR) is a leader in the international movement to secure sexual and reproductive health care as a human right for all. We work with 40 partner organizations in 38 countries across the Americas and the Caribbean; our local partners are autonomous, locally-owned organizations that share a common mission: to ensure sexual and reproductive rights for all, including universal access to high quality health services and comprehensive sexuality education.
The IPPF/WHR offices in New York and Mexico City connects our partners to the global movement for sexual and reproductive rights and ensures their long-term sustainability by providing technical assistance in areas like program planning, organizational development, and fundraising. Together, we build strong institutions and healthy communities.
Description: The International Planned Parenthood Federation/Western Hemisphere Region (IPPF/WHR) seeks a self-starter with a can-do attitude undergraduate student to intern part-time (or full-time depending on availability) in our corporate office. This will be a 20-24+ hours per week paid position for a minimum of 3 months with the opportunity to extend the internship.
Reporting to the Director of Talent and Organizational Development the Intern will assist the team in various Human resources initiatives such as the digitalization of employee files and ensuring that each employee files contains critical employee records and are stored electronically in accordance with policies; the identification of an ATS and the revamping of the employee manual.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be a current student pursuing a degree in Human Resource Management or related field or a recent graduate. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and Power Point. Must be personable, able to comfortably and pleasantly deal with a variety of people and able to work in a fast-paced multicultural environment.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: Work hours are generally 9am-6pm (M-F); flexible schedule but must be able to commit to a minimum of 20-hours per week during these office hours.
