Fundación para la Salud del Adolescente (FUSA)
FUSA uses an innovative, comprehensive health care model focused on sexual and reproductive services, with a particular emphasis on youth. Its broad range of services includes gynecological care, nutritional visits, HIV and STI testing, sexual violence detection, options counseling for unwanted pregnancy, risk and harm reduction treatment for unsafe abortions, and contraceptive distribution.
FUSA’s advocacy activities have contributed to the creation of new resolutions and agreements from the Ministry of Health, such as reducing the recommended age to conduct PAP tests from 34 to 25. The Buenos Aires city government has recognized FUSA for having best practices in responding to community health demands, and the organization is a national leader in meeting the needs of adolescents.
