Asociación Pro-Bienestar de la Familia de Guatemala (APROFAM) continues to be the largest non-governmental family planning provider in Guatemala, with more than 40 years of experience in providing health services and an emphasis on sexual and reproductive health. APROFAM serves 18 of the 22 Guatemalan departments through 29 clinics.  During 2007, APROFAM provided a total of 1,259,476 services.

The association’s 29 service-delivery sites provide comprehensive SRH services that include family planning, STI/HIV/AIDS-related services, gynecology, cervical cancer screening, and address the issues of safe motherhood, women’s empowerment and GBV. APROFAM is also a leader in the implementation of innovative programs, such as community-based distribution, mobile clinic services, no-scalpel vasectomy, adolescent programs (IEC), STI/HIV screening and GBV.
