Tochtli Garcia

Communications Coordinator

Tochtli Garcia is a member of the IPPF/WHR communications team. His responsibilities include monitoring, tracking, and disseminating the organization's regional media presence, collaborating with and providing technical assistance to the communications staff at our Member Associations, and developing and disseminating e-newsletters.

In addition to his expertise in communications and media, Tochtli has experience working with social service and cultural organizations in New York City's Latino community. He is actively involved with Immigration Equality and the effort to secure comprehensive immigration reform that includes recognition of the rights of LGBT families. Prior to joining IPPF/WHR, Tochtli worked with families of 9/11 victims and others affected by the tragedy.

Tochtli is also a professional actor and MC. He has a Certified Acting Degree from Instituto Andres Soler ANDA, a leading academy in Mexico, and has hosted events in New York and Mexico City, Mexico.

Tochtli holds a BA from Universidad de Valle de Mexico in Mexico City, Mexico.

The passionate volunteers in small villages who work for the development of their communities. They make a strong impact in their region, but their work is also felt on a global level.
