Humberto Arango
Senior Governance Advisor
Humberto has worked at IPPF/WHR for 35 years. He oversees development and implementation of governance strategy to strengthen leadership within Boards of Directors at Member Associations and at the regional level. Humberto provides advising on strategic planning, assessment of unmet needs in the region, and training on male involvement in sexual and reproductive health. He has worked with IPPF's Central Office in the development of its accreditation system and coordinates its implementation in the region.
He has consulted for USAID, the European Commission, and the Ford Foundation, and headed the Department of Administration and Human Resources at the Universidad del Valle in his native Colombia. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universidad del Valle, a Master of Sociology from University of Florida, and a Master of International Comparative Development from Stanford University.
