In this report you will learn how IPPF/WHR helped improve individuals' lives throughout Latin America and the Caribbean in 2008. We drove on rugged mountain roads to provide vital health services women living in remote villages many miles away from the nearest clinic. We were at the forefront of opposition to restrictive laws and repressive policies that deprive women of their dignity and the right to determine their reproductive destinies. We also empowered young people through peer education programs and increased their access to youth-friendly sexual and reproductive health education, information, and services.
