Press Release: IPPF/WHR Launches its 2006 Annual Report

New York, NY-The International Planned Parenthood Federation/Western Hemisphere Region (IPPF/WHR) launches its 2006 Annual Report on August 28th, 2007.  Available at www.ippfwhr.org, the report details IPPF/WHR’s critically important  work reaching the poorest and most marginalized communities in the Western Hemisphere.

One of six regional offices of the International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF), IPPF/WHR works with its 44 Member Associations throughout Latin America and the Caribbean to provide quality reproductive and sexual health services to all.

The report explains how IPPF/WHR and its Member Associations, through a vast network of community educators and volunteers, are reaching urban slums and rural communities, providing care to those who have long been neglected.

IPPF/WHR has pioneered collaborations with government agencies to improve the quality of services for all, from expanding access to emergency contraception to improving standards for sexuality education and abortion related services.

IPPF/WHR’s commitment to respecting and fulfilling all people’s sexual and reproductive rights serves as a powerful catalyst for change.
