As a leader in the field of sexual and reproductive healthcare, PROFAMIL has provided low-cost, quality services since 1984. PROFAMIL operates clinics in Port-au-Prince, Jacmel, and Port-de-Paix that provide family planning, early detection of breast and cervical cancer, pre-and-post natal services, and voluntary counseling and testing for HIV/AIDS. In rural areas, a network of health promoters and mobile health clinics provide family planning and basic care, often providing the only healthcare available in these remote communities.

Because of a large increase in patients, skyrocketing rent costs, and insufficient workspace, PROFAMIL is relocating the clinics in Port-au-Prince and Jacmel. The new clinics will allow PROFAMIL to provide expanded services to clients through more consultation rooms, and on-site laboratories.

The Friends of PROFAMIL committee is committed to educating the Haitian and South Florida community about PROFAMIL's critically important work and response to the current reproductive health and demographic crisis in Haiti. The Friends of PROFAMIL Advisory board members are Joelle Thevenin, DDS (Chair), Elizabeth Philippe, MD (Co-Chair), Louis Herns Marcelin, Ph.D., Aude Sicard, Beatrice Cazeau, Esq., Dr. Smith Joseph, DO, Carline Paul, Marie-Maurice Anglin, Marie-Jose Ledan, Maggie Prezeau, MPH, Bernard Eugene, MSCM, Gracelle Toussaint, ARNP, Irene Hyppolite, Emile Viard, Tamara Philippeaux, Gwenaelle Romain, and Isabelle Guerin.

As its volume of services continues to expand within a challenging and difficult environment, PROFAMIL needs your assistance in raising the sum of $500,000 to continue to provide high quality reproductive health care to over 150,000 Haitians.
