These proposed actions would gut international family planning programs, prohibit the U.S. from contributing to the United Nations Population Fund, and enact into law the Global Gag Rule.

Dear Representative,
Before the Congressional Recess commences, I want you to know that I care deeply about the health and rights of women and families worldwide.
Last week, a House of Representatives subcommittee offered significant cuts to U.S. funding for reproductive health, including family planning, for those most in need and codify the harmful Global Gag Rule into law.
If enacted, these provisions would result in fewer women and couples receiving vital contraceptive services, result in more unsafe abortions and maternal deaths. Furthermore, a reinstatement of the Global Gag Rule compromises free speech and jeopardizes the ability of medical professionals to provide the full range of legal health services that women need to protect their health and exercise their rights.
Enough is enough! I care deeply about ensuring that women have access to the tools and information they need to protect their health and protect their basic rights. As a concerned citizen and voter, I am asking you to oppose these cuts to family planning and support the Global Democracy Promotion Act to permanently repeal the Global Gag Rule.
