TONIGHT: 20/20 Features MEXFAM's Work to Reduce Maternal Mortality

As part of a year-long series on global health, ABC's "20/20" will air a segment tonight at 10PM EST featuring our Member Association in Mexico, MEXFAM. The segment will look at the role family planning has on reducing maternal mortality in Mexico, and the opposition that reproductive health advocates too often face.

In 2010, MEXFAM provided more than 1 million sexual and reproductive health services to women, men, and young people throughout Mexico. By engaging local community health promoters, MEXFAM has been successful in expanding its reach to provide rural and marginalized populations with lifesaving health services and care.
